Governor’s African Commissioners empower women in entrepreneurship as they participate in the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).
The UNESCO Center for Peace, located in Frederick and run by Guy Djoken – a commissioner of the Governor’s African Commission – organized a resource workshop for ethnic female entrepreneurs with another commissioner, Joanne Oport.
First Lady Yumi Hogan supported them with her video message.
Did you know? More than half of nearly 600,000 small businesses in our state are owned by women and ethnic community members.
Thank you, Maryland Department of Labor and Governor’s Office of Small, Minority & Women Business Affairs, for presenting business resources available within the Hogan administration.
