2024 AFRICAN WOMEN’S DAY IN THE DMV

In honor of Women’s Day and Month this year, we propose organizing a roundtable discussion focused on the theme of African women in science and technology. The objective of this event is to promote the inclusion of women in decision-making processes within our community and African society at large. Additionally, we aim to explore the connections between this initiative and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal No.5: Achieving Gender Equality and Empowering All Women and Girls.

By highlighting the role of science and technology in achieving gender equality, we seek to drive positive change and underscore the significance of empowering African women for the overall advancement of the continent.
