UCP West African Spring Conference 2025

In a rapidly evolving world shaped by artificial intelligence, global diplomacy, and cultural heritage, the UCP West African Spring Conference 2025 is set to bring together leaders, students, and policymakers for a transformative experience.
Organized by the UNESCO Center for Peace in collaboration with DPS International School, this international event will take place from April 24-28, 2025, in Accra, Ghana, offering a platform for discussions on AI policy and STEM education while engaging in African heritage. The Conference is split into three parts to target each group.
1. UCP West African Spring Conference 2025: AI & Policy Leadership Summit
This is a four-day forum where government officials, business leaders, and AI experts will examine how artificial intelligence is shaping governance, business, and society. As AI becomes more integrated into everyday life, this summit will explore critical issues such as ethical AI regulation, digital transformation, and Africa’s role in the AI revolution. With expert-led discussions, policy working groups, and networking sessions, the summit is an essential space for decision-makers looking to navigate the future of AI-driven economies.

2. UCP West African Spring Conference 2025: MUN/Debate Experience
For students and young leaders aged 14-19, the MUN/Debate Experience offers a unique opportunity to develop leadership skills at the intersection of AI and international affairs. Over four days, participants will engage in Model United Nations debates, discussing global issues in a diplomatic setting while learning public speaking, negotiation, and critical thinking skills. By the end of the program, participants will have gained practical experience, built international connections, and received a certificate recognizing their achievements.

3. UCP World Heritage Educational Tour 2025
Beyond the conference halls, the World Heritage Educational Tour will take participants on a week-long journey through Ghana’s cultural and historical landmarks. Ghana is home to some of Africa’s most significant UNESCO World Heritage sites, including Elmina Castle and Cape Coast, where participants will explore the deep history of the transatlantic slave trade.
Through guided tours, expert-led discussions, and cultural immersion activities, attendees will gain a deeper appreciation of Ghana’s role in global history and the importance of preserving heritage.
